Heard back from Indulge really quickly and was invited in to interview. I was asked about my prior experience and if I had been a barista previously and they told me that training would be available to me due to my lack of professional experience, but also that I would be paid the lowest possible salary for that reason. I was also asked questions about my location to the store and how I felt about working late nights, and it was made clear to me that every employee would finish work late in the evening and that it would perhaps not be a sustainable work/life balance for me. I was offered a trial shift to start on as a waitress instead with the possibility to train as a barista in the future. I got another job offer so did not continue with my application but my experience with the manager was overall positive and he was very clear about what my roles and challenges would be.
