I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Indoff (Saint Louis, MO)
Interview
Comfortable and just a conversation getting to know our expectations of each other. They really wanted for me to succeed and nothing else. I kept thinking this is too good to be true,, but it was not. It was exactly as they said it would be and they were great.
I applied online. I interviewed at Indoff in Sept 2018
Interview
I am willing to come into the Office for a 1:1 interview process in order to discuss my sales and operations background with any potential employer. I have a very extensive work experience in the Contract Office Furniture Industry.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Indoff (Maryland Heights, MO) in Oct 2015
Interview
Naturally, having heard of the position, I submitted a cover letter and resume. I had two separate interview sessions, each split into multiple meetings with different members of the corporate staff.
I was able to meet and pick the brains of my two direct supervisors, as well as the head of HR, and even the President of the company. It was very laid back. One of my interviews was actually on the office casual day, which led to some lighthearted jokes between myself and these (at that time) strangers over my being "overdressed." This has helped to set the tone for the entire time I've been here - it is comfortable. The expectations of the position were made known. As they knew I was coming from a more hectic environment (serving in the restaurant industry), everybody, up to and including the President, made sure I would be comfortable with the repetition of office work. There was consistent email communication throughout the process to let me know each step of the back-end process and the same interview process had been completed with the other applicant, which, to me, showed that the staff here understand my actions were contingent on knowing their process was moving along, and that I needed to know where I stood with them. At the end of the day, I got the position, and I haven't looked back since.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Their primary query was whether or not I am self-motivating and, after seeing how lacking my this environment is in micromanagement, I understand why. Of course, there are generic questions regarding transportation and capacity to perform basic job functions, but they are very concerned with their staff's ability to perform WITHOUT being heckled. It's a nice change of pace.
