I applied in-person. I interviewed at Indigo (Memphis, TN) in Mar 2018
Interview
It was a Standard interview. I Met with multiple people from different departments. It was Not very substantial and pretty boring but it took up quite a bit of time
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Indigo (Dallas, TX) in Aug 2019
Interview
Normally I wouldn’t do this, however, I was very disappointed in what I witnessed and experienced from this company recently. Recently I was flown to interview for an opportunity with this company in sales. The experience was very chaotic and everyone seemed to be all over the place and hardly anyone knew what they were talking about or any details of the position. During my interview the woman kept checking her phone and was very rude and condescending. She even implied that not everyone would be a "CULTURAL FIT” when I asked her, what she meant by this, she informed me that Indigo was not for everyone. Curios to learn more , I inquired about the company's policy in regards to Diversity and Inclusion, she informed me that the company was not too concerned about those things at this time. She informed me that the company was focused on finding the right people that would be make farmers and their customers happy. Let me continue by stating that I am a "CAUCASIAN MALE" and my wife and I have two beautiful adopted daughters from Haiti. After my unfortunate interview, I conducted more research on the company and I couldn’t find their " D& I strategy", ”Diversity and Inclusion Advisor/ Consultant” and even the culture video on youtube is all caucasion people. It is 2019, and the company does not appear to have one POC ( person of color) in leadership. I don’t mean to accuse anyone of racism, but I would also like to point out that the day of my interview, I literally interviewed with all white men and one white woman, all of the candidates where white males, and the people that I interviewed with were unapologetic in regards to their political views. As a company that is supposed to be the most innovative disruptor this year, I am sad to see that their hiring practices has not reflected the values and the beliefs of what their mission carries!
