I was approached by a recruiter with InVision Communications who emailed me and said she'd seen my profile online and would like to talk with me about their opening for a VP of Finance. She wrote: "Based on your background and experience I believe you may be a great fit." A phone interview was scheduled for a date and time that worked for her. That day came and went but she never called. I emailed her to find out what happened. She replied they already had a number of candidates for the job (which begged the question why she contacted me in the first place). I hadn't heard of InVision Communications before but this interaction told me pretty much everything I needed to know about them.
