I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Imperative Chemical Partners (Midland, TX) in Sept 2025
Interview
Started off with speaking to the HR recruiter Rosie, which went very well. Follow up interview was with Rosie and another gentleman, where they asked more questions to gauge my experience and character and that was a phenomenal process. Next were interviews with what would have been my regional management and again, all went very well. Last interview was with would have been my direct report management and all was good there too. Ultimately, I did not accept an offer simple do to I had another offer and Imperative was not able to match, BUT I can say that because of such a good interview process, if I need to explore another opportunity, Imperative will be at the top of my list.

Just talking about previous experiences and the month end close processes. Technical accounting questions every accountant should know that is learned in school. How was it working at last company as far as personality and environment.

Interview
Not very friendly, the manager seems very negative about the company and their expectations. I want to attend school in the fall; however, she stated that the month-end close was very demanding and not finished promptly, but I was expected to work long hours.
