I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Impact NW (Portland, OR) in Mar 2026
Interview
The interview was quick and straightforward, though the questions were intentionally challenging. Notably, the process lacked formal structure—there was no HR involvement, and the interviewer was an external consultant rather than a company employee. Consequently, the candidate received very little information regarding the organization or the specifics of the role.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Impact NW (Portland, OR) in Apr 2024
Interview
The interviewers as Impact NW were kind, friendly and warm and reached out to inquire about my previous experiences and to run a mock family visit to test my capabilities as a social worker for families with infants for 0-3 years.

Question 1
What would you do if you notice behavior that puts an infant at risk in a household?
The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Impact NW (Portland, OR) in Aug 2009
Interview
The first interview was almost exclusively behavioral, with a standard set of 12 questions dealing with how I would deal with specific situations. It was quite a challenge. I was interviewed by 2 people in the organization. The second interview was a panel interview of about 7 or 8 people interviewing me, again with a standard set of questions. I studied for a long time for the second interview, and felt less stressed than for the first one. Overall, though, very challenging intrviews.
