My first interview was with a gatekeeper - It was designed to confirm that I would be a fit to the business and a few basic questions to ensure that I did have the knowledge I spoke of on my CV.
The second interview delved more into the details of what my understanding and knowledge was and gathered more information on whether I was a fit for the specific position.
