I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at IRIS Software Group in Oct 2022
Interview
- Submit application
- Recruiter gets in touch
- Remote interview
- Another remote interview
Recruiter hadn't bothered to read my application correctly, as they didn't know about my previous work experience when I mentioned it. They also didn't inform me that it was a two-stage interview.
During the remote interview, both interviewers had their webcams off, which I thought was very unprofessional and rude. It was very difficult to gauge when I had answered the question enough, as there were no non-verbal clues.
When I asked what the challenges of this position were, one interviewer said something along the lines of "once you know how the systems work, then there shouldn't be any challenges, so any challenges you have will be from what you create" - so this job must be the best job in the world, and if you have any challenges then you have created them LOL.
I also asked more about the position and they said it was for someone's maternity cover. However, the job had been posted once previously when I applied, and was also posted again, and I think it is still posted. So, this makes me wonder, if this position really was for maternity cover, surely they could've filled it by now, so why haven't they? I know I have a few guesses as to why.
Declined invitation to second interview based on the negative experience already received.
