I was contacted by Quintiles from one of the IT Recruiters there, Juliette. I was actually pretty happy a my current company at the time so just passively interviewed for the position. During the initial interview with the recruiter we actually dove straight into content of the day to day of the job and she gave me a pretty good picture of what the job really would entail. That was a big plus for me because usually you don't get to the heart of the job until you talk to the management of the role. During that interview, there were some technical questions asked, but we actually spent time on a more behavioral type question where she asked me to dive into a lot of detail on how I handled a specific technical task in my previous job. So definitely be prepared if you interview to have a couple of strong work examples to pull from. I guess I did well enough to go through to the manager interview and then did well there and had an in person interview with the team. I met with 2 senior directors and 2 other associate directors who grilled me on the technical as well as similar situational questions as the recruiter asked me. Soon after my in person interview, I got the call that I got the job and the fit was actually an upgrade for me career wise and financially so took it. I've been here for only 4 months now, but really happy about the move. Biggest piece of advice is to make sure you feel comfortable with the team. I have some really sharp leaders I get to work with now and I'm glad I grilled them as much as they grilled me when I interviewed to determine that. Seriously happy I made the jump so far!
