Dear applicant,
Thank you for sharing your experience, though I find it essential to clarify some of the inaccuracies and misrepresentations in your review, which should be addressed openly.
We received over 700 applications for this position and interviewed over 100 candidates (a number of applicants we never saw coming nor have experienced). While I would love to provide personalized feedback to everyone, it wasn’t feasible given the volume. That said, our process is designed to be efficient and structured, which sometimes may feel fast-paced, but this helps us assess a broad candidate pool effectively. This also answers your "concern" about why our company description sounded rehearsed - this happens if one does it a hundred times a row in a short period. It is a matter of taste - some appreciate it, some not.
I feel compelled to clarify some misrepresentations from our call:
1) My statement "80% of PMs in Europe are fake": This is not something I said, nor would I ever frame it that way. My point, clearly misunderstood, was that 80% of European product managers are project managers and perform project management roles. This is a concern that many candidates themselves have expressed and agreed—feeling they lack the opportunity to work as actual product managers. At INZMO, we’re focused on building teams with individuals who embrace the product mindset, which is critical for our growth and innovation.
2) I did not state INZMO “will never grow beyond 100 people.” What I said was that our growth strategy prioritizes automation. For us, scaling the business does not mean scaling headcount 1:1. If the company grows 10x, the headcount won't grow 10x, and you will not see hundreds of people in our support & claims team, but a lot of mundane tasks will be automized. We aim to grow exponentially while maintaining lean, highly efficient teams—particularly in areas like claims handling and support. This is a deliberate choice, not a limitation.
While interviews are evaluative for both sides, they also reflect alignment. It seems clear from your experience that there was a communication mismatch. I respect your perspective, but I also stand by the importance of finding candidates who thrive in environments that require self-awareness, confidence, clarity, and alignment with our values and goals.
At INZMO, we aim to build a culture of innovation and high performance. I wish you the very best in your endeavors and hope you find a role that aligns more closely with your expectations.
Regards,
Meeri (CEO/Founder)
