I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ING (Frankfurt am Main) in Aug 2022
Interview
1st interview with Dept. Manger/Director and TeamLead
2nd interview again with 2x Dept.Manger/Director and Recuriter
Summary:
First interview went really well with the Director and TL hence why they invited us to the 2nd interview.
In which the female Recuriter was a bit hostile but we managed her questions in a good way. However when it came to salary expectations that Recuriter showed her nasty side and tried to downplay the salary expectations and i had a feeling that this was due to my immigration background.
Anways before the Recuriter could go on to downsize the salary expectations she was stopped by the Director who informed her that this is within their budget and would not be a problem. After that weird bump in the interview process we ended the interview what i thought on a positive note and i have been told they will let me know about their decision in a week or two.
Now after a week and a half this same female recuriter called me on my mobile to tell me that they have considered someone else for the position. (Which I have no problem with)
However when we asked if it was due to my qualifications - she responded saying it was because of two reasons.;
1. Unwillingness to work shifts
2. Have not shown enough motivation
The first is a absolute lie - I have on the first interview acknowledged that I am willing to work shifts and would not have any problems with it. As we used to work in my past career shifts. The second point I am just speechless and appalled how someone can use this as a reason and without giving specific examples.
Personally I feel I have been discriminated by this female Recuriter due to our immigration background and the salary expectations. Also I feel no one would go out their way to call you that your application has been rejected and gave you these two bogus reasons, as typically you would get notified by email.
If you have a immigration background and looking to apply for the a position in
Frankfurt am Main aera - be wary as there might be some intolerance and discrimination if you come across the same female recuriter as I did.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ING (New York, NY) in May 2016
Interview
Had an in person interview and met the team of 3 people. They were very easy going and friendly. I could easily talk to sports or joke around with all of them. They truly do seem like a family, everyone has each other's back and helps each other out in any way they can.
