The interview process was excessively long, spanning over three months from the time I applied (via a recommendation) to the moment I received an offer. Throughout this period, I participated in seven separate interviews, including a five-hour case study.
Salary expectations were discussed early in the process. I provided a reasonable expectation based on the role and my experience, but the company shared a lower range between X and Y (with X being the lowest). I made it clear that I would not accept anything below Y. Despite this, they proceeded with the interviews and ultimately extended an offer at X—while stating that I was their top choice. Given this misalignment, I declined the offer.
