Easy, after you have signed up for services and attended orientation you are provided with a list of local residents who need assistance. You make contact with the employer to set-up an interview and if you are a good fit for the individual, they will accept your services.

Just background checks Not much of a background check. Just paperwork to fill out at the local county office. Just google IHSS and then go to that department if you need anything else.
