Fairly straightforward, took about 4 weeks in total between interviews, orientation and proper paper work as well as getting live scanning. A few hoops to jump around which weren't difficult but just time consuming as you had to jump from one place to another.

Question 1
Mainly about how to you would properly respond to a client's needs and your choices on when to say no to unsanctioned actions
I applied through other source. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at IHSS (Redding, CA) in Jan 2020
Interview
Easy, after you have signed up for services and attended orientation you are provided with a list of local residents who need assistance. You make contact with the employer to set-up an interview and if you are a good fit for the individual, they will accept your services.

Question 1
If you are physically fit enough to provide the services in which the client requires.
Just background checks
Not much of a background check. Just paperwork to fill out at the local county office. Just google IHSS and then go to that department if you need anything else.
