• Applied via the IFS Careers site for a role based in MENA Region.
• A recruiter reached out and scheduled an HR screening call.
• However, shortly after the call began, I was told they already had an ideal candidate in mind.
• This could have been handled with a simple email update or meeting cancellation, saving time and energy.
• Left with the impression that candidate experience wasn’t a priority.

Recruiter gave a flimsy excuse after joining the call that they have a candidate in the region. And asked if I am open to other location.
I applied online. I interviewed at IFS (Malmö, Skåne) in Feb 2026
Interview
Screening call - personal test - hr interview - hiring manager - skill interview (but they weren't sure about the last test).
I didn’t get the job, but the experience was quite odd. I was told they were looking for a specific profile and that the PPA test from Thomas International would be important. At the end of the HR interview, I asked what they were looking for in a candidate, and I scored highly on the key characteristics they mentioned.
After the interview, I was told I would hear back, but I didn’t receive any response. I followed up to check on the status of my application, and only then did I receive an automated rejection email stating that I would not be moving forward. I replied again to ask for feedback, especially since my profile seemed to match their requirements, but I didn’t receive any response.
I genuinely believe I was a strong match for the role.
3 Interviews were conducted.
First Interview - With the Immediate Supervisor
Second Interview - the Leaders from the Organization Unit
Third Interview - Vice President of the Practice
Non Technical - mostly checking the current and previous exposure.
Very Friendly Interview Panels and was able to get to know about the job and expectations.
