It was a very streamlined process. Interviewed by a very personable partner. He asked relevant questions to the role and about past experience. He stayed in constant contact and had an offer within a few days.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at HyperX Marketing (Salt Lake City, UT) in Jan 2012
Interview
I was initially contacted via LinkedIn after I had been referred to the hiring manager. The email simply asked if I would consider leaving my current employer. I responded with a typical, "I'd consider it if the opportunity was right" response.
I met informally with the owners during lunch one day and they more or less wanted to make sure I was capable of performing what they required. They asked general questions about the online marketing & advertising industry to make sure I knew what I was talking about. Before leaving I made several suggestions to improve their current model and they seemed impressed.
A few days after our initial meeting, I received a phone call from the owners and an offer letter via email.

Question 1
There wasn't really a specific question that stood out. I merely pointed out some flaws or shortcomings of their existing model and assured them that I could improve the process, and eventually the bottom line.
