I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Human in Motion Robotics (Vancouver, BC) in Dec 2023
Interview
They were prepared for the interview. but some of the questions were wrong, meaning they do not provide enough information,
The technical interview took almost 6 hours in which they just provided the coffee break. This should be combined with lunch at least or make it in two different sessions,
The interview with 3 different steps, went longer than usual as they introduced themself as a startup company but their interview was like they were hiring for a high-tech company.
There was a long delay in selecting a candidate and the delay between interviewing took more than a month without providing any update regarding the application,
Out of all the interviewers, one of them seems to be not familiar with the HR process as they just trying to show off. At some point in the interview, some questions were trying to decrease the level and show that the level of the candidate is not senior, while this should not happen in the interview. The interviewer wants to decrease the salary expectation in such a way in my opinion which is not respectful.
The delay in replying to candidates and letting them know if they were selected or not was a completely disrespectful manner of communicating with candidates. People are not robots, they have feelings and they will be injured from what you are doing.
