I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Huawei Technologies
No offer
Negative experience
Easy interview
Application
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Huawei Technologies (Dublin, Dublin) in May 2020
Interview
The process consists of three interview, an initial phone screening, a more technical one and a final HR interview. I've been rejected at the first stage, probably because despite being 200% qualified for the job they had the impression they had little to suck out of me. Their objective doesn't seem to be "hiring for doing", but rather hire for stealing information about previous employers and projects. The interview was with many (unnecessary people), most of them didn't speak a good English, making them sometime very hard to understand. Overall, a totally broken process, with unclear objectives (no introduction on their side, no details on what the need to accomplish and what you will be doing, etc).
It is through phone calls. The leader of the team interviews me. Ask lots of questions about my experience, especially, any involvement in a large-scale project. After all, he told me what the project he is doing and more detail about how he expects me to work.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at Huawei Technologies (Munich, Bavaria) in Sept 2020
Interview
Hiring process lasted almost six months, with Huawei showing interest, scheduling another interview round and then disappearing.
All in all, I had four interviews.
First, short interview with hiring manager, details about the positions etc.
Then, technical interview with the team. Interviewers joining a video conference without turning on their camera. Many questions were focused on the company I worked in at time (customers, details of algorithms used), not about me, made me feel extreamly uncomfortable. Then another round with the hiring manager and finally with the rude HR recruiter.
At the end, they came back with a lousy offer. What a total waste of time.
