I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Houzz (San Diego, CA) in Mar 2016
Interview
I was recruited by Houzz through my LinkedIn profile. From there the recruiter scheduled a phone screening with me where she asked me general, basic questions about my work experience. At the end of the phone screening she asked me if I could come in to a Houzz Night at the San Diego office. During the Houzz night there were about 10 other potential candidates there. We all sat through a presentation, toured the office and then were pulled aside individually with various people from upper management for a 1 on 1 interview. The 1 on 1 interview was more just a personality assessment and not much talk about work experience but it felt more like they were trying to figure out if I was a cultural fit for the office. After that I received a call inviting me to come in for a final role play interview. I was emailed information beforehand outlining the role play and then had 10-15 minutes to prepare when I was in the office. The role play included a mock sales call using their Clearslide presentation and whatever information I could find on the Houzz website for the Professional I was "selling" to. After that role play I got a call a few days later with an offer for the position.
