I applied through other source. I interviewed at Hootsuite (Vancouver, BC) in Jan 2026
Interview
They had a better process than most companies. There was a mix up in interview prep material but they took full accountability, which is more than what a lot of companies will do.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
A few personal questions, mostly stuff around different sales scenarios I’ve been in. Otherwise mostly mock demos.
Everything started of smooth, got fast tracked to the hiring manager interview which was fine, i expected it to be more formal but ended up being a conversation. Same day on an email about an assignment for the next stage which was a panel interview presenting a deck based on a senario which was pretty straight forward; on the brief is mentioned i will be questioned on my reasoning around everything on the deck. After the presentation the hiring manager said thanks I clearly put in the effort and then that was it. No questions from anyone else on the panel or about the assignment, it almost seemed like they did not know what the assignment was about. But the worst part was the speed at which they left the call, just a thank you and gone, Did not ask me if i had any questions.

I applied online. I interviewed at Hootsuite (Toronto, ON)
Interview
It was a very smooth and well-organized interview process at Hootsuite. The entire team was communicative, transparent, and supportive throughout each stage. The role play was a particularly important and valuable part of the process, it provided an opportunity to demonstrate real-world skills and gave a clear sense of the role and expectations.
