Warning! Make sure the job you interview for is the same you applied for. I made it through to a second in person interview to learn that I was actually being interviewed for a different position and location, which included a totally different compensation and training profile. My initial phone interview was for the job I applied for posted on -line. My second interview was in person and still matched the role I applied for. My final interview was then switched to a different role.
I would think all the people involved in the hiring process should be in the loop together??? Why would they think someone would be ok with that??
I would have appreciated a phone call prior to me driving to an interview 40 minutes away to then receive a generic email 2 hours after my interview letting me know I no longer was being considered for the job.
Coincidentally, the role I applied for conveniently disappeared from the on-line job site that afternoon as well.
I am a professional, being in sales for over 20 years and have never had such an unprofessional experience. Actually, not sure if it was unprofessional or arrogance? Just be mindful and ask A LOT of questions!
