I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Hiya (London, England) in Jun 2026
Interview
The interview process was lengthy and included multiple 1:1 stages, a presentation, and a 3-hour onsite interview, which required me to take time off work.
The people I met were pleasant and professional, and I received very positive feedback throughout. I was told that my interviews and presentation had been scored excellently, and the conversation progressed into offer-related discussions, including OTE alignment, start date, address details, and expected timing for formal paperwork.
After this, communication became vague and delayed. I was eventually told that although I had scored excellently and the team had wanted to make an offer, the business had decided the role was now intended for someone more junior.
Overall, the process damaged my trust in the organisation. My feedback would be to ensure role seniority, compensation, approval, and candidate expectations are aligned internally before progressing someone to final, onsite, and offer-stage discussions.

Question 1
A mix of experience-based questions, customer success methodology, commercial ownership, stakeholder management, and a presentation/case study discussion.

Interview
Talent acquisition screen, hiring manager, and then an on-site interview. On-site had a 90 minute timed product sense exercise and then a presentation immediately after that. Then the standard cross-functional interviews. Everyone was nice, but too formal. The exercise was VERY VAGUE even by typical product sense standards. Being grilled on a VAGUE project, that you just scrapped together UNDER PRESSURE, by a few people you JUST MET was a HORRIBLE experience. Plus many interviewers never did growth stuff before, so they had to be taught even basic definitions. They didn't set candidates up for success -- it is just whether candidates match their Amazon/MBA type and if they don't they're out.
