I had maybe 5-6 different interviews spanning weeks (30-60 min interview meetings) and in the very first "interview" I set expectations of pay and what I was looking for in a role, and was told that it was reasonable and to continue interviewing.
Then after finishing 5-6 interviews ranging from people on the team all the way to a VP (what I was told), I was told the team liked me but not for the compensation range I was looking for. Why would I go through the entire interview process and go through hours of calls to just be told that at the very end. Weird way to go about interviewing resources.
