The first and only interview I had was a technical interview and it only left a bad taste in my opinion. I had to reschedule my interview for the following day due to a difference with the coding environment. I solved the issue on my own time, the issue was not only about my environment but webpack presets that were missing in the webpack.config file. I fixed it and rescheduled for the following day. When it was time to interview, the interviewer went on mute as I tackled every task. Immediately I was met with a rebuttal to the ways I was trying to complete my task. A tangent that was unnecessary, I would have been better off if I finished my what I was trying to do. Then my second task, I was attempting to change computer time to American time. This time I was sort of confused but googled the methods necessary for this. At this point in time is when I noticed a displeasure coming from the interviewer’s voice. I guess my “0 work experience” with Software Engineering really got to him and then he just ended the interview. Honestly, that was not cool. If I have 60 minutes to do something, I want the whole 60 minutes. I want the right to have the whole interview. Or an interview more “fit” for a Junior role.
