Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer Interview

      6 Sept 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at High Fidelity (San Francisco, CA) in Aug 2018

      Interview

After applying online, my 30 -minute screening w/the recruiting manager was scheduled on 8/29 at 1pm. After speaking with her, she assured me that I would definitely be speaking to her CEO when he returns from Burning Man, who would love me, and come on site to meet with the team who would love me as well. So she sends me this EA test, that I answer and send them back..Never heard anything so I follow up, and was told that they decided to move along with other candidates. I have 12 years experience in executive support and currently work for a super powerful company who has clients like Michelle Obama Foundation, Live Nation, MIT, Stanford, and about 1000 others. I feel that an EA's job is a high impact position, so I would not have wasted my time on this assignment if I wasn't a good "fit", but why lie?? I'll be posting her questions and my responses in a bit

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

      1. Philip Rosedale wants to meet with Adrian Murphy, the CEO of a major retail company based in Chicago. Adrian expressed interest in talking to Philip about High Fidelity when they met at a conference last week where Philip gave the keynote address. On his way out for the day, Philip dropped by your desk, handed you Adrian’s card, and asked you to schedule a meeting for him and Adrian. Philip said a call is fine, but if Adrian is going to be in SF sometime in the next month or so, it would be good to invite Adrian to High Fidelity’s office. Given Philip and Adrian’s schedules, you anticipate there may be some back and forth before this meeting is set. We don’t have Adrian’s assistant’s contact information. How do you move forward?
