      Talent Engagement Executive Interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Halma in May 2026

      Interview

My interview experience with Halma was one of the most unique experiences I've had during my job search. From the very beginning, the recruiter who reached out to me on LinkedIn was so professional, approachable, and genuinely invested in ensuring I had a clear understanding of the role, the company, and what to expect throughout the process. Communication was consistent, and I always felt supported and well-informed at every stage. The process consisted of multiple stages, including an initial HR discussion, two interview rounds with different stakeholders, a psychometric assessment, and subsequent discussions around setting expectations, the offer and benefits. What I appreciated most was the nature of the conversations. It was very different from the traditional question-and-answer format that many companies follow. The interviews felt more like meaningful discussions. I was encouraged to be myself, speak openly, and share my experiences honestly. There was no pressure to "perform" or present a polished version of myself. Instead, there was a genuine effort to understand who I am as a person, what motivates me, my aspirations, how I think, and how I approach challenges. They created an environment where I felt comfortable and at ease. Instead of focusing solely on technical skills or past achievements, the conversations were candid and also emphasized on attitude, willingness to learn, values, and overall fit. The interviewers seemed genuinely interested in understanding the person behind the resume. Career gaps, setbacks, or past mistakes did not seem to define a candidate. There was a clear belief that skills can be learned, while qualities such as curiosity, integrity, and the desire to grow are equally important. The discussions around compensation and benefits were also transparent. Halma offers some great benefits, which further reinforced the company's people-centric approach. Overall, the entire experience reflected a people-first culture. Halma genuinely cares about its people and takes the time to understand candidates beyond their qualifications. Whether selected or not, it is the kind of interview experience that leaves a lasting positive impression.

      Question 1

Rather than a single standout question, the conversations centered around understanding me as a person, my career journey, motivations, aspirations, and how I align with the company's culture and values.
