Applied online, internal recruiter reached out to me, we scheduled some time to talk. The job description was very general so I asked her some basic questions about the role. She told me the exact opposite of what the role was actually for (she told me it was for purchasing but it was for selling). Imagine my shock when, within the first 5 minutes of the in person interview with the hiring manager, I found out what the role was really for. This means the internal recruiter did not even have a basic conversation with the hiring manager for the job she was recruiting for. I could have prepared much better for my interview had she told me the correct information in our initial call. In my opinion, this is as basic as it can get and the recruiter couldn't even handle that.
