3 interviews in total. Extemely unprofessional process from a Luxury Brand. I would steer clear from wasting your time with this company.
First interview was in person with the Irish Area Manager- pleasent opening interview- exactly what I expected from the Brand.
2nd one was a phone interview with another regions area manager. Very rude and abrupt, spoke about themselves for 20 minutes and ran me and my experience down before allowing me to speak ''How could you possibly manage a Hugo Boss store when I have never received customer service in the brand you currently work for'' I was told.
3rd one was a video interview with the Irish AM, Senior HR advisor and Retail Director .
Retail Director arrived to the call 10 mins late, driving a car (yes, driving) , all while their phone coverage was going in and out, video was breaking up and quite frankly he should not have been in control of a car at the time.
After the 3rd interview I was informed there was a recruitment freeze for 1 week (directly after interviewing for a Flagship SM role, which immediately sent alarm bells ringing)
In week 2 I was told the recruitment freeze continued.
Despite emailing and applying pressure for feedback, after giving up 5 hours of my time over 3 interviews, and a presentation, I was fobbed off for 2.5 weeks after interview 3.
I then received a phone call to say I was uncsuccessful, due to my lack of ''luxury experience'' , and due to how I answered 1 single question regardng ''who my favourite designer was, and what did they do differently''
If a company cant see beyond 1 question and I quote ''you ticked every other box'' then to be quite frank, its not the brand for me. A brand I was told developed its people, clearly wasnt interested in developing me in this area, despite having a wealth of drive and knowledge to bring to the table.
The company was aware of my extensive clothing retail experience, despite not being in luxury retail.
I am very welcoming of all feedback but to be quite honest, Im astounded at the lack of professionalism shown by Hugo Boss and their recruitment process. Its a lack of respect to any candidate.
I wish them all the best with finding their ideal candidate
