Interview
Very poor experience as a candidate. The first HR interview was missed by the HR person - they forgot to diarise it and didn't turn up to the prearranged call. Followed up by two identical HR interviews on the same day by different HR people. The IT interview followed and I was told I'd get feedback in a week. One month later I've had no contact from HSBC as to the result of the interview, however I see they've re advertised the position. Shambolic management by HR through the process although the IT Team conducted a good technical interview.

Non-technical questions were based on Values - recommend you familiarise yourself with these which can be found on the HSBC website.
1. introduce yourself; 2. technical question/answer, and write some code online 3. soft skill Q&A, such like how to manager stakeholders or vendors. And how to collaberate work with others, how to deal with urgent issue and manage risk, and so on; 4. talking to branch manager; talking to HR collegues;

the question more about Mircoservice design pattern and Domain drive design methodologies. Some questions also relate Kafka, MQ and Redis cache. In further, the question about Java is more diffcult, you need to fully understand Java8 principles on Hashmap, Arraylist or multi-threads, and how to build high Availibility and scaleable system
It is pretty straight forward. Have a prescreen interiveiw with HR, then a one hour discussion with the hiring manager. Second round interview may require if there are more than one candidates with similar performance
