      Vice President Credit Risk Interview

      19 May 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Kraków
      Declined offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at HSBC (Kraków) in Mar 2025

      Interview

The process was quite long (personality test, homework, 4 technical stages), it took more than 2 months. Interviews focused mostly on modelling experience, as well as statistics and regulatory knowledge. The questions ranged from fairly easy to difficult but were fully in line with knowledge one at a VP level should possess. I would describe them as very hard for someone without the specific experience they were looking for but average for someone with relevant background already working at a senior position. I liked the conversation we had, seemed like a company with many knowledgeable people one could work with. I was a bit disappointed with how long the process took. I got a good offer, but was presented with a better one at another company after a 2-week process, and selected that one.
