Interview
I applied through the Campus placement cell. The recruitment process consist of Written Test (Aptitude + Technical) and Group discussion then a technical Interview and Then a HR interview. In our campus few of candidate also go through another round of interview after the HR round with senior management.

Question 1
In Technical Round each and every subject you have touched upon. It was more of like a rapid fire where short and instant answer were required. Few questions that i can recall were;
1. Lenz Law, Faraday's law.
2. Transformer Impedance, Protection Scheme, Relays used.
3. Motor Working principle, Protection Scheme, Generator parallel Operation, Faults etc.
4. Types of relays and CB, working principle and Operating times, applications, insulators, cables types etc.
5. Relays, operating times, CT, PT, Wattmeter, Ammeter, voltmeter, energy meter.
6. Diode, rectifier, clipper, clamper, buck, boost, inverter, converters etc.
We have a GD Round too. The group assigned were consisting of 7 to 8 Member. Few minute like 5min will be given to list down your thoughts. Then 5-7 will be given to speak up your throughs. Then after these discussion 20-30 sec will be given to each candidate to put up their conclusion.
Hr Round was quite easy. Not many question were asked. Few of question that i can recall were:
1. Introduction and Family Background.
2. Internship & Project experience and basic introduction to project.
3. Future plans in terms of UPSC, MBA, MTech
4. Why Oil industry and HMEL.
5. Extra curricular and strong points.
I was one of few candidate that have another round of interview with senior management. It was a bit moderate to difficult. It was totally based on your experience in projects and internships. In this round they were more interested in knowing what we have learned in these projects and internships weathers in terms of soft skill or technical skills they talked about every aspects from what we did to what we observed and what to gained from it.

Interview
The selection process consists of three rounds. First Written test (Technical+Aptitude), then Group Discussion & interview at the end. You need to have good idea about each and every subject related to chemical engineering to score enough in the technical section. Aptitude is easy.
