felt warm and open, not intimidating or hostile. interviewers consisted of two vice presidents of the sector. interview lasted about an hour and felt like a normal conversation. Then the ending led to simply talking about the construction industry in general
I applied through other source. I interviewed at HITT Contracting (Falls Church, VA) in Jul 2025
Interview
I had the opportunity to visit HITT for a meet and greet, even though I did not meet the qualifications for the role under HITT standards. I walked away from that half hour discussion with a better perspective and valuable advice. The two PM's I met with were obviously dedicated and passionate about their job. I now understand "HITT's Way" better, have more respect for the company, have a better understanding of how a quality GC company is run, and know how I can improve/work my way towards being qualified for an APM role. I felt comfortable to be honest about my previous work experiences (and lack of) and look forward to reapplying for an APM role at HITT one day.

Question 1
Describe your background/work experience, how you entered those roles, and why you left.
Besides the issues you faced at your previous companies, can you elaborate on the positive experiences you got from them? Is there anything that you would recommend HITT to consider implementing?
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at HITT Contracting (New York, NY) in Sept 2024
Interview
Great process. Everyone was very straightforward and upfront. Got to speak with team members I’d potentially work with and they all had good things to say about the overall culture and work environment.
