I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at HCLTech
Interview
I recently interviewed for a DevOps Engineer role at HCLTech, and I have to say, the experience was extremely disappointing. The interviewers seemed to come from a different era, as they seemed to expect candidates to memorize everything instead of demonstrating practical knowledge or problem-solving abilities. It felt more like a test of how well you could recall facts rather than how well you could actually perform the tasks required for the role.
What made the experience even worse was the unprofessional and rude attitude of the interviewers. From the very beginning, they acted like they were there to reject you, rather than assess whether you'd be a good fit for the role. It honestly felt like they had already made up their minds about who they wanted to hire and were just going through the motions of interviewing candidates for the sake of reporting to their manager.
Overall, this interview left a negative impression, and I would suggest HCLTech rethink their approach to hiring. A more respectful and engaging interview process focused on actual skills and problem-solving would go a long way in attracting top talent
