Worst experience ever, before going for the interview I had been told by many of my friends that HCL is known for fake interviews , they just call the candidates and just do the interview formalities and never send the offer letter, it has happened with some of my friends also.
As far as my interview is concerned, I saw such a worst and unprofessional interview first time in my life, I have 3.6 years of experience and I have given interviews in many companies but I have never seen such unprofessional interview anywhere.
The guy who was taking the first round , just called 12 candidates in a room together and started asking everything publicly, he was even asking CTC and expected CTC publicly, we were 12 candidates and everybody spoke everything in front of other people even those things which are considered very private in professional ethics like CTC , he asked everything publicly, years of experience, technologies you worked upon, reason for leaving , CTC, expected CTC , notice period everything.
And just on the basis of notice period, he picked only those candidates which were having very short notice period, I was one of them, he rejected all who were having more than 1 month of np.
After selection in 1st round they made us to sit for 5 hours for 2nd round, everybody was getting frustrated, but they made us to sit, almost all the selected candidates from 1st round had already informed the guy who had taken first round that we don't have any work experience in RPA , all candidates had been forcefully called by different consultancies even after knowing that candidates were not having work experience on RPA, even after clearly intimating the guy who took first round that we don't have experience on RPA he selected us and he made us to sit for 5 hours and finally when we went for 2nd round , they again asked RPA based questions, and those who were not knowing about RPA (almost all) got rejected.
Why HCL plays with emotions of candidates I don't know.
