Do not waste your time with this company it is the most shambolic experience I have ever had! I received an email asking me to schedule a telephone interview with a member of Groupon Recruitment, I did this. Was a good telephone interview lasted about an hour and was asked lots of STAR questions and they explained the company to me. I then was asked to come in for a face to face interview with two senior members of staff. They asked me lots of competency questions and were really friendly and I enjoyed the interview. I instantly received feedback the next day saying the interviewers loved and would like to invite me to a final interview the following week. This is where it all got a bit strange ... After a week I still had not heard anything so I emailed the recruitment contact questioning this - they then set me up with an interview slot. The day before this interview they asked if they could move the interview because the interviewers were working abroad that day (surely they would have known this before arrange the date??), I was very accommodating and agreed. The day before this interview I then was asked to move the interview again (for reasons unknown) - I politely agreed to move it. On the day of the interview I was left waiting in reception for 45 minutes - No apology. I asked about the format of the second interview and was told it would be a STAR interview. When the interviewer eventually came down she instantly told me it would only be a 10-15 minute chat (which i was confused about as the recruitment officer said it would be a STAR interview and I had done copious amounts of preparation). She hadn't booked a room for the interview and we made to move 3 times within 15 minutes. I felt as though the interviewer had little to no interest in me what so ever. She seemed to be in a rush to get me to leave it was frankly very rude, I was quite taken aback. After this I heard nothing from the Groupon even though the second interviewer said I would definitely find out the outcome the next day. I chased Groupon and they said they would let me know by the end of the next week. (I heard nothing). I eventually found out about 3 weeks later that I didn't get the job because they were recruiting someone internally (surely they should advertise internally before advertising externally?). I also received absolutely no feedback. Please do not apply to this company, they are time wasting and no one should have to be interviewed by someone who is so blunt and dismissive (not a very nice experience at all!!!)
