Initial phone call was about 20 minutes to gauge interest, ask about experience, and why sales.
Follow that up with a 1 hr phone interview, same type questions, why do you want to be in sales, why Groupon, why daily deals, what objections might you anticipate, what were your KPIs in past roles, what was a tough customer to win over, how comfortable am I cold calling, and setting up meetings.
Follow that up with a 30 minute Skype interview with 2 sales managers, same questions: why sales, how were you measured in past roles, how many meetings did you have to set up, cold calls, what questions do you have, etc.
Follow that up with a 30 minute 1:1 with a regional VP. Questions included: what questions do you have for me, where do you want your career path to take you, what were your KPIs, what is your sales experience, how would you overcome an objection.
Here is a tip, if you cannot speak to how many cold calls you made, accounts closed, quotas hit, targets, volume, etc, do not even bother. I'm not sure why I went through all these interviews, when it was clear I had no outside sales experience. That's what they want.
