I didn’t feel respected as a candidate. After meeting with the recruiter, hiring manager, CPO, and several team members, I was assigned a take-home exercise with a laundry list of broad tasks, expected to be completed in under three hours—some of which didn’t even make sense. Despite carefully following the provided instructions, I was rejected because my submission supposedly didn’t meet a set of requirements that were never outlined in the exercise instructions.
