First step is a phone interview with the CEO and founder. Slightly bizarre, as the candidate is supposed to call in to the CEO's office. The interview was scheduled on a stat holiday too. Was told I would hear back in a few days, never heard back, even after following up with an e-mail. Call it Ghosting by Grassriots.
Extremely disrespectful way to treat candidates and their time. The next step would've been to interview with other Senior Managers, and then a peer interview with people who this role would manage. The interviewer did mention a bit of turnover, so make of that what you will.
Apparently this job received an "overwhelming number of applicants", but if this is the way you are treated as a candidate, I wonder how poorly you would be treated as an employee. Bullet dodged.
