I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Google (New York, NY) in Mar 2026
Interview
I was invited to complete the Google Hiring Assessment before any interviews. The assessment took about 30 minutes and consisted of behavioral and work-style questions rather than technical or recruiting-specific questions. It focused on how you approach workplace situations, make decisions, collaborate with others and prioritize competing demands.
My advice is to answer thoughtfully and consistently. Many of the questions are similar or ask about the same themes in different ways, so it's important to be genuine and maintain a consistent approach throughout. I didn't find it difficult from a knowledge standpoint, but it definitely evaluates your judgment and work style more than your recruiting expertise.
well structured but took a while to schedule between interviews but the conversations and information provided was good would've been good at a quicker pace and if the structure was known from the get go
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Google (San Francisco, CA) in May 2025
Interview
There was a phone screen with the recruiter, it was non technical, verifying information and asking about why I wanted the position. I didn't pass the phone screen but the recruiter shared there would be around 5-6 interviews
