I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Google (Bengaluru) in Feb 2015
Interview
They have an elaborate useless interview process... If you are going through a consultancy, be assured, no matter how good you are, they will give two hoots to your profile or skills.
They treat you like you are a street side beggar wanting to apply to a top company! Be prepared to lose your self respect and be demotivated at the end of everything.
After 4-5 rounds of interview, they reject candidates on the basis of confidence? Well, then that should have certainly been gauged in your initial rounds of discussion, or wait! were they even paying attention to you during the initial interviews? My interviewer was too busy to look away from his cell phone.. that shows who's low on confidence.. he or me? Also shows the quality of people working out there. That is not it, I know of 2 of my friends working there. One who was fired from my former company and the other who could not clear her MBA exams.. so thats the quality a so called "Googler" holds.. I am thankful at the end of it, I am not associated with such a disgraceful Company!

Explain in detail about Recruitment process
The interview was robust and challenging, but overall a positive experience. You also interview with a panel that is removed from that department and that job, so it significantly mitigates bias.

There were questions around sourcing techniques, finding challenging candidates, etc.
I applied online. I interviewed at Google (New York, NY) in Apr 2021
Interview
I applied and was reached out by a recruiter for an initial screen call. I then moved on to a virtual onsite to meet with three other recruiters. The first two recruiter I met with were awesome and had high energy. The last person I met with was extremely dull and didn't seem like she wanted to be there. Let's just say she was a typical "Karen." She was asking me questions that weren't even related to a sourcing role but instead a coordinator role. She provided an extremely poor candidate experience. I had high hopes of wanting to work for Google one day but after meeting the last interviewer, I would never want to work for this company in my career.
