I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Google (Seattle, WA) in Sept 2025
Interview
Recruiter reached out for a position last year. After 20 minutes of behavioral questions, she decided she's going to schedule the next round. Due to a lack of response about the nature/scope of the interview, the next round was scheduled several times. The interviewer turned out to be someone different from the hiring manager, and we talked about strategy and product design. The position got filled right after, even though the recruiter told me I passed with very positive feedback.

Question 1
Everything about Chrome - what do people use, why is it important, how could it be improved.
Design a self-driving electric bus.
Very self-driven, first of multiple rounds, where I had to take the initiative to arrive at the problem, constraints, approach, solutions, tradeoffs and reasoning behind it in a matter of 30 minutes.
You would have to do a hiring assessment first, then a recruiter screening follows. First round interview with the hiring manager. Majorly product sense and product improvement. The questions were not direct though.
Overall a lot of steps to the interview process. Talked to different people and had opportunities to ask questions. Many different stages which made it a lengthy process overall. Wasn't too bad.
