I applied online. I interviewed at Google DeepMind (London, England) in Dec 2025
Interview
It is easier to write a negative rather than a positive review but a rejection does not mean negative for me. It is the way they treat candidates. They go incredibly fast until you are possibly rejected. I followed up after two weeks silence and was told they would let me know at some point. It has been a month, no sign of rejection, no update. I got a job somewhere else meanwhile where the recruiter kept me up to date at each step and made me realise that is how it should be. Deepmind was a serious disappointment. My dream company, I really expected more.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
1. what would you do in this situation
2. How do you communicate with senior stakeholder
3. did something ever go wrong in one of your projects
Organized and thorough interview process, with an interview deck provided at the very beginning of the process. Wait times in between interviews were lengthy but they did keep to the 4-6 week interview cycle window that was promised. Each interview felt very structured and routined vs conversational and personable.
