Interview process went well, met very nice people on the operations team and the HR were very nice and responsive. They however were not honest about their ideal candidate early on in the process and after 5 interviews they let me know that I was not chosen because I did not have the right experience. They then opened back up the job search.
Though I love the product and company, I was not impressed with them not being up front about their ideal candidate and giving me an opportunity to address the experience gaps they perceived.

Question 1
Describe a project you worked on recently. Describe your background. Why gong?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Gong (Dublin, Dublin) in Feb 2022
Interview
A third party recruiter reached out to me and we had a casual chat. From there, a Gong recruiter contacted me via email and we scheduled a screening call.
Following this meeting, I had an interview with the hiring manager who was pleasant but seemed to be distracted (I understand that can happen when companies are scaling quickly and interviewers are interviewing too many candidates, still not a great experience).
I was not given enough time to ask my questions (less than 5 mins at the end of a 45 minute interview) and interviews should always run both ways.
I did not hear back from the recruiter for 10 days and reached out via email, but did not receive any response. After a few more days, I called the recruiter who then informed me that I was no longer part of the process and provided scant feedback. I understand that things can get lost but this was not a good candidate experience, which is a shame because I really liked the company and the product.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Gong in Jan 2022
Interview
Austin King (recruiter at Gong) reached out to me directly on LinkedIn and the process was smooth from that start. He kept me updated on the process and was easy to communicate with. Really great experience!
