Recruitment process is based on series of LIES.
Lie 1 : Company position itself as marketing consultant.
Fact 1: Company only does sale.
Lie 2: Mostly jobs get posted on various job portals with titles 'Market Associate', 'Business Development', 'Brand Ambassador' etc.
Fact 2: Recruitment is ONLY for entry level account executive.(even candidate has good experience)
Lie 3: In first round, management tells lot of lie based on candidate profile. Lie usually around how big they are, how much money you can make, and fast career growth.
Fact 3: Only intention is to bring candidate for second round.
Lie 4: For second round, management train their recruiters to say certain things, so that candidate can join the company. Usually recruiters brag about company, day to day job and salary.
Fact 4: These recruiters need candidate to join, in order to get promoted to next level. So they are not very transparent to tell about actual job role.
Further, recruitment REALITY at Golden State Concept
1. They know if they will be transparent, most of the candidate will turn down the opportunity.
2. Their internal employee structure is based on bringing new candidate to get promoted to next level. Hence, in second round, most of the recruiters do not tell candidate complete truth about job and salary structure.
3. Actual fact about day to day job and salary structure:
- Work long hours(10+hrs from Monday to Saturday)
- Hourly wages are not aligned to CA law (minimum wages and overtime wages)
- Employee will get daily Maximum(base($70) or commission) ONLY IF HE MAKES ONE SALE A DAY. Otherwise, NO salary for that day.
- Daily travel to different stores in bay area, sell product. For travel, employees cars are used and other employees need to pay for transport every day.
- Most of the time employees DO NOT GET SALARY. Management don’t even care to look into it. Most of sales get unpaid.
Company Culture:
• Management is unethical in their behavior
• This company works in collaboration with CrediCo. They all practice untruthful business.
• No employee welfare. Under the name of ‘Performance’ try to make every one work hard
• Management constantly create fear in employee’s mind - if you don’t make any sell, you will get fired
• No stable employment. Hiring and firing is usual
• Sometime firing is based on management arrogance, and mood, nothing to do with competency
• Often management seems very unclear about how business works. Clueless what they supposed to do and how it supposed to be done
Recommendation:
- Stay away from this company. Decline the interview call at first place, if you don’t want to be mentally, physically, emotionally and financially ripped off.
- Even if you attend interview, reevaluate all the information before joining.
- Connect formal/current employees online and ask their experience before joining.
