I applied through other source. I interviewed at Gladius Capital Management (Chicago, IL) in Oct 2019
Interview
Sharp people with a genuine sense of caring about their employees. Multiple interviewers with different backgrounds and experience sets (highly quantitative traders versus more fundamental types). Multiple rounds of interviews starting with phone then in-person.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Quantitative questions around finance and modeling
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Gladius Capital Management (New York, NY) in Sept 2019
Interview
Multiple phone calls with different people in the company, final onsite meeting almost all employees. They tend to not ask technical questions as I believe they’re not quant driven, so don’t necessarily know what skills a quant should have.
Overall all the employees I met are very friendly, care about your cultural fit within the team, and they do try to impress you with the perks.
However, I suggest you to not waste your time here if you’re not very desperate. After a long process and a verbal offer, they altered the comp on written offer (which was already below market) and insisted I heard it wrong in the first place. They do not have structured bonus payment plan, and will tell you your upside is “unlimited” and should consider it as a growth opportunity. It is a personal preference but I declined because I prefer clarity and fair evaluation more.
