First I had a phone interview, then did an easy task (write a product discription), followed by an interview by the country manager and head of internationalization. The interviews were all quite easy and relaxed but after accepting their offer I realized how inflexible they were regarding minor details of the work contract. Quite ironically, during my interview I discussed my past experience of a mass layoffs at a former employer and the interviewer was reassuring me that the same would never happen at Geschenkidee. And obviously two months later, they laid off half of the company, including me. Honestly I would really, really consider whether you are desperate enough for a job to work for Geschenkidee, the company is on extremely shaky grounds, their strategy is a bit of a joke due to the complete lack of a USP and the pay and benefits are way below average.
