I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Genomics England (London, England) in Nov 2022
Interview
I had 1 technical interview (live python coding), 1 1-to-1 interview, 1 panel interview and 1 offline coding test. The process was lengthy and through but feedback was very quick for all stages

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Genomics England (Southampton, England) in May 2026
Interview
I just got the coding interview, so far so good. Still waiting for the outcome. Even if it doesn't workout for me I'll consider it as a positive experience. Question was not just bioinformatics also , 2 questions about pure rare disease
I applied online. I interviewed at Genomics England
Interview
Just a short introduction and then straight to a live python coding exercise which was more of a dev-ops/ python trivia question than what I was expecting. It definitely tested how you react under stress and not your algorithm/compute usage coding abilities or bioinformatics skills. Seemed more like they wanted to catch you out which seems a bit silly. I have been a bioinformatics dev for many years but i didnt know this library. I felt the question didn't really match the job description either.
