I applied online. I interviewed at General Motors (GM) in Aug 2020
Interview
Step 1: Recorded Interview. Basic behavioral STAR questions, and an IQ test.
Step 2: Coding interview. 2 questions, the language of your choice. It was done alone, not with a hiring manager or anything. The questions were very easy, leetcode easy level questions.
Step 3: Two, one hour interviews over skype with two team leaders from two different US offices. They asked me mostly behavioral questions and only a couple technical ones. Note: from what I understand, this step is very different outside of a pandemic.
Step 4: Wait. I had to wait 2 weeks for an answer. In the mean time, I got a phone call from my local GM office, but I got the sense that it wasn't a standardized thing. The guy I got a phone call from would later become my boss.
Step 5: Wait again. My prehire process took only a couple weeks but they won't start you for at least 5 weeks to give their HR some breathing room.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at General Motors (GM) (Austin, TX)
Interview
First, they send you an online Technical Assessment. Then, if you pass that round, you will interview with two developers. They look at your resume and ask in depth technical questions.

Interview
Only did the OA, passed both problems, probably Leetcode Easy to lower medium. Never received another interview. Pretty fun questions, but easy to pass so the resume is the big part.

Question 1
Questions on Arrays and the manipulation of arrays.
A year ago, it was not technical and questions were easily answered in STAR format. Being able to talk about resume and experience is vital, as well as answering scenario questions.
