Gear Patrol interview questions

I recently interviewed for a staff writer position and was ghosted after a seemingly good interview. I met with the deputy editor for a casual chat about my experience, background, and the role. I seemed to be a good fit for the job based on my qualifications and experience and what they were looking for. At the end, I was told they'd like me to meet the actual editor I'd be working with and they would follow up. I sent a thank you letter a few days after and heard nothing. Followed up one week later after that and still haven't heard anything. This isn't a huge deal in the long run, but still a bit of a waste of time on my part and frustrating they can't be bothered for two minutes to send a reply on the job status. Hopefully people have a better experience than I did.
