Frustrating and Disrespectful Recruitment Experience
My experience applying to Gauzy was one of the most disappointing hiring processes I’ve been through. The process dragged on for nearly three months, involving two interviews with HR, one with the Head of Marketing, one with the Hiring Manager, and two reference calls where they collected my personal and professional information.
On top of that, I completed seven different graphic design exercises, each requiring significant time and creative effort — all without compensation or clear feedback. Despite investing so much time and providing thoughtful, high-quality work, the process ended with a brief message saying they had “decided not to move forward.”
While HR communication was generally fine, the overall experience reflected a serious lack of organization and respect for candidates’ time and effort. What made it worse was seeing the same job reposted shortly after I sent them my feedback — confirming how careless and inconsiderate their process really was.
I’m sharing this review so other professionals are aware before committing to such a lengthy and one-sided process. Candidates deserve transparency, respect, and fair evaluation — not endless unpaid tasks followed by a generic rejection.

Interview
The interview process was structured, respectful, and professional throughout.
It began with an introductory phone call with the recruiter, which went very well.
I then had a face-to-face interview with the current position holder, which was also positive.
Afterward, I received a home assignment to complete.
I presented my assignment in a follow-up interview with the position holder and the COO, where I also introduced myself to the COO. This stage went smoothly.
I continued with an HR interview with the Head of HR, which was another good experience.
During the process, the company reorganized and added a new managerial role, which introduced an additional interview.
My final stage was a face-to-face interview with the new Head of Product & Engineering and the Head of Sales. Unfortunately, I did not pass this stage.
Overall, although the process was lengthy, it was handled with respect and professionalism at every step.
