Interview / Assignment Experience:
The entire process was mismanaged and unprofessional from start to finish.
First, they sent me the wrong assignment (a Unity Developer task). When I pointed it out, they admitted the mistake and sent the correct one — already wasting a full day. The email mentioned we would get three days to complete the assignment, but because of their delay, I had less than two days to finish everything.
Even worse, the assignment itself was completely unrealistic for an internship. As a Game Designer task, it specifically stated that submitting a fully playable Unity build would be “preferred.” Essentially, they were asking candidates to design and build an entire game prototype from scratch in two days — unpaid — just to “test creativity.” as an option they would also accept a GDD + PPT for a creative game idea.
Despite that, I took it seriously. I created a detailed Game Design Document and presentation explaining the reasoning behind every design choice, player motivation, accessibility consideration, and visual direction. I even included additional creative ideas beyond what was required.
And after all of that? I received a generic rejection email claiming:
“You chose to copy-paste everything from ChatGPT, including formatting.”
This was not only false, but deeply ironic — the formatting they accused me of “copying from ChatGPT” was the same layout they themselves provided in their assignment instructions.
They didn’t bother to read the document or verify anything. No discussion, no interview, no feedback. Just a lazy copy-paste rejection after asking for a weekend’s worth of unpaid work.
